Q: Who are you, and what have you been doing (currently for the past 3 months, any projects you are working on, travelling)?
A: Zheng Libin
Managing EZBBQ and mommy of 3 boys
Q: What’s your occupation? (If you own a business, please do elaborate more about it/ or if it a job you enjoy, please explain more about the work that you do)
A: Runs an e-commerce F&B business. Customers place their order at our website ezbbq.com.sg and we marinate and send down to them. We also host bigger corporate BBQ catering events that ranges from a few hundred to thousands of pax.
Q: How is it like to be a mother?
A: It is rewarding, tiring, trying.
Q: How do you manage your time & your job?
A: One word – Teamwork. At EZBBQ, we have people managing our Kitchen, Ops, Admin, Finance. At home, my mom and in-law love kids. My husband is very understanding and supportive of what I do. When everyone works together, it makes managing our time personal life easier.
Q: What was it like before being a mother and how did you feel after you found out you were one?
A: Before being a mother, I can do what I want, and i had more time for myself. When I knew that i was going to be a mum, i felt excited, apprehensive, and looked forward to the journey ahead.
Q: Can you cook? If yes, what is your specialty?
A: Yes. My specialty is whatever my boys and husband likes – spaghetti, porridge, japanese curry rice, fried rice, whatever.
Q: How has motherhood changed the way of you doing your work?
A: Not really. In school we had CCA to teach us to manage our time. When we work, we still have a life outside work. Now as a parent, it is mainly work and babies/ toddlers/ boys
Q: How old are your kids currently?
A: 2, 4 and 6
Q: Tell us more about your kids (Quirky Habits, how they ask for rewards, how they make you angry, etc)
A: I tend to record this moments and you can take a look at the funny stuff on Facebook… they jump, they sing, they color (everywhere, and I mean everywhere), put hair conditioner on my bedroom floor, wash my bathroom when I put them in the tub for hours!
Q: Personally, what makes you the happiest & why?
A: Boys: Seeing their antics and knowing they are healthy and happy.
Work: Pulling off a successful XXX pax event.
Q: What do you look forward to everyday?
A: Challenges that I solve at work and going home to kids who make me want to laugh and cry at the same time.
Q: What are you looking forward to this year?
A: Cody getting ready to go Primary School and hitting 1.8mil sales in EZB
Q: What is the best advice you have ever received, and what was the worst?
A: Enjoy motherhood. Not showering during confinement and getting heat rash.
Q: What would be your best advice for other mothers out there?
A: Enjoy motherhood. Things will always work out in the end. If things don’t work out, then it’s not the end.
